Discovery of active ingredients for preventative medicines

The old saying that prevention is better than cure applies especially to health care. Nevertheless, our society seems to ignore that health in an ageing society becomes increasingly costly. According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services:

 

• ▪ 60% of total healthcare spending happens after the age of 65 years
• ▪ 1/3 of healthcare costs will be spent after the age of 85

 

And both age groups are growing significantly. At the same time the quality of life at an older age seems to decrease, so people are living more years with a growing risk of illness and disability.

We work on the necessary change in how new medicines are discovered and developed by utilizing our computational design platform and enable our partners to develop products completely scientific from natural plants for preventative medicines and for improving quality of life and wellbeing.
